SHIPLAP
Perfect lines as far as the eye can see. Our Shiplap panels are profiled to produce an overlap, which allows for a continuous cladding look and uninterrupted, clean lines. Shiplap timber cladding provides a modern and clean cedar finish that adds a touch of cladding class to any internal or external shiplap application. Modinex timber lining boards can be used in both vertical and horizontal applications; including timber ceiling lining boards and cedar wall panels.

Dressed
A smooth, planed face. The default for refined interiors and ceilings where the grain should sit quietly.
All speciesBand Sawn
A fine, linear saw texture that catches raking light and adds a little tactility without going rustic.
All speciesCircular Sawn
Broader arced saw marks for a more worked, characterful surface.
All speciesWire Brushed
The soft grain is brushed back to raise the harder grain, emphasising texture under directional light.
All speciesCharred
Shou Sugi Ban charring for a deep, matte-black surface with the grain still legible up close.
Ironbark onlyWe coat dressed boards with a penetrating oil system that protects timber from the inside, so it won't form a film that can flake or peel. An optional Colourtone is mixed into the oil to set the timber's tone and slow the natural greying that happens outdoors.
Coatings apply to the dressed finish only. Other surface finishes are supplied uncoated.Shiplap is supplied with the evidence specifiers ask for: species-specific
data sheets, bushfire (BAL) and fire-group documentation, and durability ratings.
Most ratings vary by species, so figures are confirmed against your selection rather
than quoted as a blanket number.
- Ceiling and soffit lining
- Internal wall panelling
- Feature and accent walls
- Commercial fit-outs and hospitality
- External cladding, in the durable species
- Reception and joinery linings
Timber is only a low-carbon choice if it is sourced and used well. Our boards come from PEFC chain-of-custody certified supply, and we make products that are built to last: durable species and quality coatings that keep boards in service for decades rather than years.
Offcuts and short lengths are re-used where a job allows, and sawdust and shavings are recovered rather than landfilled. At end of life, solid timber can be re-milled, repurposed or composted.
