The beauty of timber

A carbon-negative Australian hardwood

Tasmanian Oak is a premium Australian hardwood grown in the cool, high-rainfall forests of Tasmania and south-eastern Australia. The timber ranges from pale straw through cream and pink to a light reddish brown, with even, straight grain and a moderately open texture.

Sustainably grown, responsibly sourced

Passed down through generations is our focus on the sustainable supply of FSC certified timber. Modinex hand-selects the highest grade logs from our supply partners, sawn close to the sustainably managed forest to reduce transport emissions, then processed in our Queensland facilities on next-generation, energy-efficient machinery.

Grown entirely in Australia, Tasmanian Oak carries a low embodied-carbon footprint and one of the shortest supply chains of any hardwood we offer. Our long-standing relationships with sustainably managed Australian forests ensure a consistent supply of high-grade, certified timber.
