How it looks

Sustainability
Aluminium
Modinex is pioneering sustainable manufacturing with 100% Australian-made aluminum profiles and coatings. Our Green and SuperGreen aluminum options significantly reduce carbon emissions:
• Green Aluminum: ~50% less CO2 (8kg CO2e/kg AL)
• SuperGreen Aluminum: ~75% less CO2 (4kg CO2e/kg AL)
Sustainability Highlights:
• Committed to Net Zero by 2050 and actively reducing Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions
• Our aluminium is ASI Certified with full Chain of Custody management
• 100% recyclable aluminum profiles
Timber
We actively invest in sustainable practices, from forest replantation to innovative recycling processes. By-products like sawdust, chips, and bark are repurposed for pulp, paper, and organic soil production. Our Canadian softwood species offer exceptional sustainability, using natural seasoning processes without kiln energy.
• PEFC and FSC certified timber from partnerships in Australia, Europe & Canada
• Zero waste manufacturing approach
• Low embodied energy cladding solutions (as low as 0.5MJ/kg)
• Ultra-low VOC coatings
Choosing Modinex means selecting environmentally responsible, low-carbon building materials that support a sustainable future
Design and Performance
Versatility – Two-tone aesthetic transforms spaces with dynamic visual language
Fire rating — Varies by timber species. All Modinex timber species can achieve Group 3 for internal applications (Group 1 when treated with Fireshield). Modinex hardwood species are suitable for external applications up to BAL29. Softwood species do not meet the material requirements for BAL ratings. To view specific species information, visit our Species page.
